Strain analysis using 2D speckle tracking echocardiography in healthy cats and cats with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

Images show analysis results of radial strain rate in a healthy cat (A) and a cat with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (B) using right parasternal short-axis view of left ventricle.
The curve of strain rate shows 3 peaks, which are radial strain rate during systole (SrRs), radial strain rate during early diastole (SrRe) and radial strain rate during late diastole (SrRa).
The peak of SrRE in a cat with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy was lower than the healthy cat.
